Our customer is a global leader in wireless local area
network (WLAN) technology. One of their divisions, Networking and Entertainment
(NED), represents a new opportunity for their Wi-Fi solutions, like Digital
Voice and Satellite Radio. Within NED they develop, produce and market
chipsets.
Department within NED:
CTO New Technologies and Advanced Systems (NTS)
Background
Our customer develops wireless LAN (WLAN) components (chipsets) and
integrated WLAN solutions aimed at deployment in client devices or
infrastructure systems. Within CTO, the CTO NTS is responsible for the
development of new technologies for next generation WLAN solutions. Members of
the team will work closely with the Research and Product Development teams
(inside and outside our customer).
The CTO NTS Team's core activities are:
- New Technology scouting
- Participation in the development of WLAN
- Technology Roadmap
- Participation in international research programs
- Proof of Concept for next generation WLAN solutions
- Participation in standardization bodies
RF System Architect
The system architect will participate in the development of new RF system
concepts for next generation WLAN solutions.
This includes:
- literature search (known solutions, competing technologies and concepts)
- participation in research programs and advanced development
- new technology scouting, benchmarking, partnership development· proof of
concept, system development, prototyping
The RF system architect will actively be involved in
standardization meetings, regulatory meetings, technology scouting visits and
partnership development meetings. This involves frequent international travel.
Qualification and experiences
- Master or Bachelor in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering
Specialized knowledge required:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in RF system design
- Good knowledge of communication theory.
- Good knowledge of signal processing techniques and algorithms
- Good knowledge of RF asic design and RF asic process technologies
Languages:
Good communication and English language skills are a necessity, willing to
travel.
Number of years work experience: 5-10 years
