Regio Utrecht, Development Program Manager

Our customer is a global leader in wireless local area network (WLAN) technology. WiFi Systems is part of Computing Connectivity Division (CCD) focusing on, system integration, customization, customer support, certification, and project and process management, supporting the development of end-user client products for wireless computer networks, based on the 802.11 standard.

The department closely interacts with product management, manufacturing and with WiFi core engineering where the actual core development (HW, SW, FW) of the products is done. WiFi Systems and WiFi core engineering has about 200+employees.

Background:
The WiFi Core engineering department provides the development resources and specialists (Hardware, Software, Firmware) that form cross functional project teams responsible for the systems engineering, development and implementation of end-user client products for wireless computer networks, based on the 802.11 standard.

The development program manager leads such cross-functional teams and is responsible for the successful (quality, cost and time) delivery of these programs.

The main activities are:
- Interface to Product management for customer and market demands.
- Interface to CCD MT for the program (status, resource needs)
- Development strategy, Planning and Monitoring of the Program covering all its activities.
- The communication with all parties involved in the development, including sales and support organization

Qualification and experiences:
- Background in Electronics, Computer Science or Telecom
Specialized knowledge required:
- Project Management methods like PRINCE2, Critical Chain.
- Project Management Tools
Other
Professional experience in international environment.
Languages:
English (required), Dutch (preferred)
